The Waterfalls of the Tine in Ferreyres

The Waterfalls of the Tine arise from the encounter of the Venoge and theVeyron rivers, within 17 minutes of the hotel. The praises of this wild and magnificent sight were sung by the famous Romand poet Gilles !

The Grandson Castle

Within 18 minutes of the hotel, Grandson is where visitors meet with History, where Charles the Bold, last Duke of Burgundy, was defeated by the Swiss army during the famous Burgundian War. A wellpreserved medieval fortress, the Grandson Castle houses several exhibition rooms (Burgundian Wars room, knights room, oubliette, torture room, Renaissance room, etc.) where one can discover authentic objects and scale models. It also houses an automobile museum where are exhibited Greta Garbo’s white Rolls Royce and Churchill’s car, to name but a few. Located within 3 minutes of the Castle, a IXth Century Roman Church should not be missed. Year-round, Grandson and its Castle offer activities such as the medival summer party or the Christmas market at the Castle.

For one century, Sainte-Croix has been the worlwide capital of the music box. Within 27 minutes of the hotel, the Cima Museum lets one discover or rediscover a fascinating handcrafted work, which will amaze the young and the oldest : music boxes, automatons, songbirds, enchanted forests, and a lot of other manufactured pieces to please one’s senses. In Sainte-Croix is also located the Museum of Arts and Sciences. Since 1872, this institution has taken the original initiative to exhibit the belongings of the village inhabitants.
